Jenkins posted a video of the incident to Instagram with the caption “I Played ‘Under The Sea’… UNDER THE SEA.”

In the video, he plays ‘Under the sea’ from The Little Mermaid while wearing diving gear and breathing equipment.

Jenkins told BBC: “I dunked it in the water and went down there and dove and played it. Now I’ve finally managed to just about pull it off.”

He thinks he’s the first to play a submerged piano.

Jenkins planned for two years. He said his biggest challenges were health and safety, diving safely, and making sure the piano worked underwater. The out-of-tune, rusted piano in storage still works, he informed the publication.
