Courtrooms are often supposed to have a small number of persons inside to hear the case processes during a trial. Also, there is a certain courtroom etiquette that one must adhere to. But recently, a surprise visitor during a murder trial sent the Brakpan courtroom in South Africa into a frenzy. Any ideas as to who this visitor might be? Well, an owl entered the courtroom through a hole in the ceiling.
According to Africa’s Owl Rescue Center, they were summoned to rescue a barn owl from the magistrates’ court in Brakpan while a murder trial was taking place. The owl had caused chaos and forced people to flee.
“The Brakpan SPCA asked us if we could rescue a Barn owl at the magistrates’ court in Brakpan that has been causing havoc.
Last week while the court was in session, the owl actually flew in through a hole in the ceiling which had the magistrate and the entire room full of people running out screaming. It took us a while, but we rescued the little fella,” In a Facebook post, the Owl Rescue Center said. They also uploaded a photo of the rescued owl.
