The race began, and Redmond tore his hamstring just a short distance from the finish line, rendering him unable to run. Redmond was left staggering alone on the rails, visibly broken and despondent. But, a man emerged from the throng and walked through security and officials to reach out to Derek Anthony Redmond, his son.

That man was Jim Redmond, the wonderful dad who clung to his kid and both of them finished the race with Derek hobbling. The father and son completed the entire lap of the track while receiving a standing ovation and loud cheers from the audience.

In the viral video, kindergarten students, specifically girls, are preparing to begin a dance performance on the stage. Yet, as luck would have it, the group’s leader gets stage fright and begins crying, collapsing on the stage floor. Their instructor tries to assist her, but she is not prepared. Then a man appears on stage, holding an infant in one of his arms. As the girl sees the man, she stops crying.

With the newborn securely in one arm, the dad takes the little girl’s little hand in his and begins dancing with her, exactly the steps she had been practicing. The man spins and twirls, and the girl follows him, her confidence growing. He remains and dances with her throughout the concert, receiving a standing ovation from the audience.
