The woman who appeared in the original deepfake video posted a reaction to the altered footage on social media one day after actor Rashmika Mandanna‘s went viral. Zara Patel asked social media users to double-check anything they see online and expressed her “deeply disturbed” and “upset” feelings about the occurrence in an Instagram posting.

Not everything on the internet is real,” she added. For those who don’t know, Rashmika Mandanna was purportedly seen boarding an elevator in a recently viral video. But Zara Patel, not Ms. Mandanna, was the woman in the deepfake video.

Influencer Zara Patel, who is British-Indian, has over 4.5 lakh Instagram followers. She has a reputation on the platform for posting daring things. She is also a full-time data engineer and mental health advocate, based on her Instagram account. She also actively creates explicit stuff for her followers in addition to that. On her Instagram account, she has shared a secret link that enables viewers to chat with her and view her sexual stuff.

Ms. Patel Zara Patel posted a video of herself wearing all black as she entered an elevator on October 9. With the description, “POV: you almost close the elevator door on me again,” she had posted the picture. Nevertheless, her face has been replaced with Ms. Mandanna’s in the altered video that is making the rounds online.

Rashmika Mandanna, reacting to this deepfake video, wrote on X, ”I feel really hurt to share this and have to talk about the deepfake video of me being spread online. Something like this is honestly, extremely scary not only for me, but also for each one of us who today is vulnerable to so much harm because of how technology is being misused.”

Deepfakes are images or movies that have been Photoshopped to use artificial intelligence to replace a person or other element. They are now a significant source of false information and are frequently connected to fraudulent viral posts. In the past, a number of famous people—including Kristen Bell and Tom Hanks—have also suffered from similar situations.
