PMD predicts rain wind-thunderstorm in upper parts of Pakistan

PMD predicts more intermittent rain wind-thunderstorm today

Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country on Friday (today). However rain wind-thunderstorm is expected at Isolated places in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Upper Punjab, northeast Balochistan, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.

Karachi receives a hot weather today as temperature reaches 28 degrees Celsius. Humidity recorded in Karachi was 36 percent. Karachi is likely to receive temperature between 39 to 41 degrees Celsius till the next two days.

Dust raising winds is expected in Sukkur and Larkana today. Also, rain wind-thunderstorm is expected Gujranawala, Lahore, Sahiwal, Sialkot, Jhang, Gujarat, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Texila, Attock, Jund, Lawa, Gujjar Khan, Kotli Satyan and Murree, Lahore, Zhob, Sherani, Qila Saifullah and Loralai, Dir, Chitral, Swat, Manshera, Kohat, Abbottabad, Malakand, Peshawar, Khyber, Kohistan, Shangla, Bajaur, Kurram, Batagram, Buner, Mardan, Nowshera, Swabi and Charsadda, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.

A shallow westerly wave is affecting Upper parts of the country and likely to persist next 48 hours.

Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country on Saturday (tomorrow). However rain wind-thunderstorm is expected at Isolated places in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Upper Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.

Weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country in the last 24 hours.

Yesterday recorded highest maximum Temperature’s (°C): Dadu 48°C, Shaheed Benazirabad, Moenjodaro and jacobabad 47°C.
