PMD predicts rain wind-thunderstorm in upper areas

Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain wind-thunderstorm is expected in Punjab including Potohar region, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during evening/night hours today.

Meanwhile, dust-thunderstorm with rain at few places is also expected in districts of Sindh.

According to the met department, a westerly wave is present over upper parts of the country. Moist currents from Arabian sea are reaching central and southern parts of the country.

Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country on Saturday (tomorrow). However, rain- wind-thunderstorm is expected in Punjab including Potohar region, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during evening/night hours. Meanwhile, dust-thunderstorm with rain at few places is also expected in districts of Sindh.

Rain wind-thunderstorm occurred in districts of Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir in the last 24 hours. Hot and dry weather prevailed in other parts of the country.ِ

Yesterday’s recorded Highest Maximum Temperature’s (°C): Mohenjodarro 45, Nokkundi 44, Turbat, Dalbandin and Dadu 43.

Severe Cyclonic Storm “NISARGA” in Eastcentral Arabian Sea

Severe Cyclonic Storm (SCS) “NISARGA” moved further North-eastward with speed of 20kmph during last 06 hours and made landfall near South Gujarat-Maharashtra coast, India.

Fishermen of Sindh were advised to remain careful and not to venture in deep sea till 4 June due to rough sea conditions. This is the last bulletin in this regard.
