Karachi likely to receive first rain of winters from Monday

The Meteorological Department has forecast the first rain of the winter in Karachi. 

As per the details, light to moderate rain is expected in the city from November 23 to 25.

Moreover, light rain is also predicted in the suburbs of the city and drizzle in others.

A spokesman for the Meteorological Department said the cold will intensify in the city after a light rain. Sources said that a series of westerly winds will enter the country on November 22.

On the other hand, snow and rain are expected in the upper parts of the country due to the westerly winds. Met Office spokesman Khalid Malik said that clouds will fall as a result of the western system.

Past 24 hour weather

Cold and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country. However, rain-thunderstorm occured in Kashmir, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.
