The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts rain and snow in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the next two days. A westerly wave is affecting western and upper regions of Pakistan, expected to persist for the next few days. This will bring cold weather to most districts, particularly very cold and cloudy conditions in upper districts on Tuesday evening/night, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Malakand, Abbottabad, Balakot, Mansehra, Haripur, Swabi, Peshawar, Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera, Bajaur, Khyber, Kurram, Waziristan, Kohat, Bannu, and Dera Ismail Khan may experience rain and snowfall, with moderate to heavy falls in some areas.

Transportation may be affected due to snowfall on Tuesday evening/night and Wednesday, so tourists are advised to be cautious. Peshawar’s minimum temperature is expected to be between 08-10 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and 07-09 C on Thursday.

In the past 24 hours, cold and partly cloudy weather prevailed in most parts of the province, with scattered rains. Notable rainfall includes Balakot, Malam Jabba, and Pattan receiving 04, 04, and 03 mm respectively. Malamjabba experienced 02 inches of snowfall.

Kalam recorded the lowest temperature in the province, dropping to 07 degrees Celsius below freezing. In Peshawar, the minimum temperature was 08 C, with a morning relative humidity of 93 per cent.
