The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts moderate to heavy rains and a hailstorm in Lahore and parts of Punjab starting Saturday, continuing intermittently until February 21.
A robust westerly wave is expected to approach western Pakistan on Saturday night, potentially affecting the upper and central regions by February 18. This weather system will bring moderate to heavy rain, wind, thunderstorms, and hill snowfall in various areas, including Murree, Galyat, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, and others, from February 17 to 21.
Multan, Bhakkar, Kot Addu, Layyah, Rajanpur, and Dera Ghazi Khan can anticipate light to moderate rain and possible isolated hailstorms on February 18-19.
Shallow fog may occur in Narowal, Sheikhupura, and Sialkot during morning and night hours.
In Lahore, the minimum temperature is expected to be between 07-09 degrees Celsius on Friday and 08-10 C on Saturday.
Cold and dry weather prevailed in Lahore and surrounding areas in the last 24 hours, with freezing conditions in upper districts. Murree recorded the lowest temperature, reaching freezing point, and the relative humidity in the evening was 62 percent. In Lahore, the minimum temperature was 08 C, and the evening humidity was 80 percent.
