Prince William’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, is claimed to have been the best role model for him, preparing him for his final duty as the monarch.
In his early years, the Duke of Cambridge was said to be ‘hesitant’ about taking on the position of monarch, but a royal writer said that now that he’s 40, he’s really grown into it.
“We did sense a reluctance to take on the role earlier on, in his early youth,” royal correspondent Jennie Bond told OK! Magazine recently about Prince William and his milestone 40th birthday.
“However, in the last few years, he has demonstrated convincingly that he is the right guy for the job and that he cares about being king,” she continued. He accepts the role and duty that fate has bestowed upon him.”
Prince William, who is the second in line to the British monarchy, is reported to have been nurtured for his role as the future King since he was a small child.
“He was ready for the job from such an early age,” Michelle Thole, co-host of Keeping Up with The Windsors podcast, said. Her Majesty has been a wonderful role model for him… he has truly learned from the finest.”
