A barrage of missiles were fired at Ukraine overnight on Thursday in one of Moscow’s most intense aerial strikes in recent months.

The General Headquarters of the Military Forces of Ukraine reported on Friday morning that Russia launched 95 missiles of various types over the previous day, 34 of which were intercepted, in addition to a number of Shahed drones built in Iran.

According to Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the commander in chief of the Ukrainian Military Forces, that array contained cruise missiles that were launched from both the sea and the air; six distinct types were utilized in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The six air-launched Kinzhal ballistic missile launches, which are particularly challenging to halt, have received a lot of attention.

Rarely have the skies of the nation seen the potent weapon.

According to the Center for Strategic and International Studies, it was utilized in Ukraine for the first time in March of last year and has since been employed sporadically (CSIS).
