US President Donald Trump has refused to attend the Quad Summit in India, canceling his planned visit and sparking outrage in Indian media.

The decision comes shortly after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to China, which reportedly intensified Trump’s frustration. Earlier, Trump had expressed displeasure over India’s trade tariffs and its continued purchase of oil from Russia.

Modi’s China trip, along with scheduled meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping and enthusiastic coverage by Indian media, further strained relations with the Trump administration. As a result, the US President decided to skip the Quad Summit entirely, and the US administration officially canceled his India visit.

Indian media criticized the move, calling it contrary to diplomatic norms. The cancellation has been confirmed by international resources. Donald Trump was expected to travel to New Delhi to participate in the Quad Summit.
