Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei has made an important decision regarding his potential successors, according to a major claim by an American newspaper.

The report states that the Iranian Supreme Leader has suggested the names of three scholars as possible successors.

According to the newspaper, Khamenei's son, Mujtaba Khamenei, is not among the candidates. The report also mentions that Ayatollah Khamenei communicates only through a trusted advisor and has stopped using electronic messaging.

Ayatollah Khamenei has been Iran’s Supreme Leader for more than 36 years.
