Three weeks after the last major attack on the capital, KYIV has been rocked by two massive explosions.

Wladimir Klitschko, the mayor of Kyiv, stated that ten persons were hurt when the “enemy” fired on the capital on Thursday night. According to him, two hits were recorded in the capital’s Shevchenkivskyi district. The attack occurs during the arrival of UN General Secretary Antonio Guterres in the city.

The rockets struck a 25-story structure, partially destroying the first and second floors.

In a message posted to Telegram, spokeswoman Svitlana Vodolaga said: “Two hits. One object, one residential sector near the object.

“There were hits on the first floors, and there are people on the upper floors.”

The incident comes only one day after the UN Secretary-General traveled to Moscow and Kyiv to meet with officials on a peace-making mission.

Mykhailo Podolyak, Adviser to the Head of the Office of Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky, commented on the attacks, saying, “Missile strikes in the center of the capital during the official visit of the Secretary-General UN.

“The day before yesterday Antonio Guterres he was sitting at a long table in the Kremlin, and today explosions are heard a kilometer away from him.

“Postcard from Moscow? Recall why Russia still holds a seat on the UN Security Council?”

Mayor Klitschko stated that authorities are gathering information about potential casualties.
