Agha Ali apologies for making fun of Pathans

It seems like actor Agha Ali has become the “controversy king” of Pakistan. Ali this time got under hot water for stereotyping Pathans.

During an interview, Khuda Dekh Raha Hai actor passed remarks about Pathans and said they never talk calmly. It should be mentioned here that those remarks were made five years ago.

A video of Agha Ali making fun of Neelam Muneer is making rounds on the internet and comments that Pathans can never speak calmly.

Netizens found the video disrespectful and started to criticize the actor. Following the backlash, Agha Ali asked forgiveness from the people and requested everyone not to spread hate.

Taking to his Twitter account, Ali wrote,

“Firstly, I apologize to anyone who has been hurt by my comments. I was sharing a light moment with my friend Neelam Muneer. She laughed really hard herself as she knew my intentions. But if anyone is hurt, I sincerely apologize for my comments.”

Firstly .. agar kisi ka bhi dil dukha hai kisi 5 saal purani clip ko dekh Kar bhi tou Meri taraf se Mazrat .. jab kay jis pathan dost se ye mazak horaha tha (Neelam Muneer) she laughed really hard herself as she knew my intentions..Phir Bhi kisi ki bhi dil azari hui tou mazrat🙌🏻

He went on to write that,

Mene kai shows main kaha hai .. “ Pathan Pakistan ki Sab se mehenti qaum hai “ Afsos kay esi baatein log viral nahi kartay.. kher .. mene ek Pathan Prime Minister ko vote Diya tha .. tou main tou Pathano ko itna qabil samjhta hoon… may Allah Bless Pakistan #DontSpreadHate

Earlier, the actor got under hot fire for asking her wife Hina Altaf not to get fat. The insensitive comment by Agha Ali outraged the netizens and started to criticize him for “body shaming”. As the matter was getting off the hand, the actor instantly clarified his statement through an Instagram story.
