Following the passing of Queen Elizabeth on September 8 at the age of 96, King Charles was formally proclaimed the new monarch.

It has been made known, though, that Prince Andrew once joined forces with the late Princess Diana to prevent Charles from becoming king.

A royal insider has disclosed how the Duke of York, his wife Sarah, Duchess of York, and the late Princess Diana came up with the scheme in an excerpt from Angela Levin’s upcoming explosive book on Queen Consort Camilla, which was published in a magazine.

Because they were first and second in line to the throne prior to the birth of Prince William, Andrew, a 62-year-old who is no longer a functioning member of the royal family, plotted against Charles.

Additionally, it is claimed that the duke of York ‘lobbied’ the Queen and ran an anti-Charles-Camilla campaign, accusing his mother of being unreliable.

According to an insider cited by Levin, Andrew intended to “control the country in some manner” and persuaded his mother to agree to remove Charles as Prince William’s Regent in favor of him.

According to the insider, “Through her friendship with Andrew’s wife Sarah, the Duchess of York planned with Andrew during Diana’s lifetime to try and unseat Prince Charles in order for Prince Andrew to succeed him as Regent to Prince William.

“I was informed that was one of the rare occasions he didn’t get his way. They were dark and unusual times, where paranoia became reality, and this was a problem. His behaviour was very, very negative and exceedingly rude to Queen Elizabeth, who disagreed.

“Despite this, he seemed to be genuinely upset that he was unable to somehow control the nation.”
