“Officially nuts”: Simon Cowell rides his e-bicycle without helmet

Even after two life-threatening accidents, Simon Cowell was unable to abandon his habit of riding his electric bicycle without a helmet.

In an interview with the media, the music mogul responded, “Not yet, but I will,” when asked if he wears protective gear while riding his motorcycle.

The reality television judge stated that he is “officially nuts” for putting his life in danger after breaking his spine in three places in a bicycle accident.

“I need to get healthy, and I don’t like walking,” Cowell explained his decision of not wearing a helmet. “I’m out on it literally every single day. I get exercise.”

“I reduced it, let’s put it that way,” he added. “Everything in moderation.”

Two years ago, while riding his bicycle outside his Malibu estate, Cowell fractured his back and needed a six-hour operation to reconstruct his spine.

Then, he was involved in a second accident earlier this year that resulted in a broken arm.
