  • He cites tennis champion Sania Mirza as an example of success achieved through a strict routine.
  • Kumar is returning to his comedy roots with upcoming projects, including "Welcome To The Jungle" and "Hera Pheri 3".
  • He also plans to re-release his 2007 romantic drama "Namastey London" on Holi, March 14, 2025.
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, known for his impressive performances and strict discipline, has always emphasized his commitment to waking up early and being punctual on set. However, many actors do not follow the same routine and often arrive late. Recently, he addressed the issue of discipline among film stars, stating clearly that he refuses to be just another ‘star.’

According to reports, at a Republic World event, a journalist asked Akshay Kumar about the common discipline issues among film stars, especially their habit of waking up late and arriving on set behind schedule. Responding with his trademark wit, he firmly stated that he refuses to be a 'star' that only appears at night.

He said, "First of all, I will say, I don’t want to be a star. Because stars raat mein nikalte hain. (Because stars come out at night.) I want to be the sun. I don’t want to be the star." His remark emphasized his disciplined lifestyle, distinguishing him from many in the industry who struggle with time management.

The “Sky Force” actor reinforced the importance of discipline by using tennis champion Sania Mirza as an example. He stressed that success is impossible without discipline and noted that athletes like Sania achieve greatness by following a strict routine.

He acknowledged her contributions to the country and emphasized that her journey demanded immense dedication, from waking up early to rigorous training sessions. He stated that discipline plays a crucial role in achieving success, whether in sports or the film industry.

Akshay Kumar is returning to his comedy roots with a series of exciting projects. He will lead “Welcome To The Jungle”, which boasts a star-studded ensemble featuring Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sharib Hashmi, Shreyas Talpade, Arshad Warsi, Mukesh Tiwari, and more.

He will also reunite with Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal for Hera Pheri 3 and collaborate with Vidya Balan, Paresh Rawal, and Tabu for Bhoot Bangla, promising audiences a laughter-filled experience.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar's 2007 romantic drama Namastey London, co-starring Katrina Kaif, is set for a grand theatrical re-release. Announcing the exciting update on Instagram, he revealed that the beloved film will return to cinemas on Holi, March 14, 2025.
