According to Navya Naveli Nanda, she is the designated family eavesdropper and is even ordered to listen in on her mother Shweta Bachchan Nanda’s conversations with her acquaintances. Navya stated that Shweta also listens in on her calls, but the latter emphasized that she does so because Navya is always talking too loudly and yelling, “What the hell?”

The discussion between the mother and daughter took place on the most recent episode of Navya’s new podcast What The Hell Navya, in which Jaya Bachchan also participated. Shweta Bachchan said that she didn’t have any girl friends while she was in college as they talked about female friendships.

She said, “All my friends were boys in college. They are just easier, less drama. I always have so much drama in my life that I need people who don’t have drama in theirs so they can handle mine.” Shweta described herself to be a very dramatic person as her mom Jaya appeared amused by the fact that she has drama in her life.

Navya also mentioned how she and Jaya frequently sit together on the patio and overhear Shweta talking to someone, wondering what has occurred now. But Navya said that she finds the rumors to be quite interesting, and added, “Sometimes I get sent to eavesdrop. I am the eavesdropper in the family.”
