Deepika Padukone scheduled to play a cop in Singham Again

• In Rohit Shetty’s movie Cirkus, Deepika Padukone makes a comeback with the dance number Current Laga Re.
• As the first female police officer in his Singham series, she is now prepared to join his policeman universe as well.
• The actor will appear in Rohit’s Singham Again starring Ajay Devgn.

In Rohit Shetty’s movie Cirkus, Deepika Padukone makes a comeback with the dance number Current Laga Re. As the first female police officer in his Singham series, she is now prepared to join his policeman universe as well. The actor will appear in Rohit’s Singham Again starring Ajay Devgn.

On Twitter, film industry expert Taran Adarsh announced the cast for Singham Again. He posted an image of Deepika and Rohit taken on the Current Laga set, “It’s official… Rohit Shetty – Deepika Padukone – ‘Singham Again’… #RohitShetty announces his lady #Singham… #DeepikaPadukone to be a part of #SinghamAgain, making her the first lady cop of #RohitShetty’s popular Cop Universe.”

Then, he published an image of Rohit and Deepika from Thursday’s song launch event, writing, “Ajay Devgn teams with Deepika Padukone for the first time… #SinghamAgain reunites #RohitShetty and #DeepikaPadukone after #ChennaiExpress and #Cirkus [cameo].”

With the 2011 film Singham and the 2014 sequel Singham Returns.  Which both starred Ajay as the eponymous character, Rohit launched his cop universe. The 2018 movie Simmba, Ranveer entered the film series. With the release of the fourth movie in the franchise, Sooryavanshi, in 2021, Akshay Kumar also joined the movie. In the meantime, Rohit is also putting the finishing touches on an OTT version called Indian Police Force. Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty, and Vivek Oberoi play police officers in it.

When Deepika joined Ranveer Singh for the Thursday launch of Current Laga Re, she looked lovely in a pink pantsuit. Ranveer was wearing a black t-shirt and black pants, much like he does in the song. He wore a matching baret as well. Seven years after their appearance in Bajirao Mastani, a 2015 Sanjay Leela Bhansali film, the couple is seen dancing together on screen once more in the song.

In addition to Singham Again, Deepika is starring alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Pathaan, Hrithik Roshan in Fighter, and Prabhas in a movie. On January 25, 2023, Pathaan will soon be seen by the whole public.
