Sophia Grace Brownlee is responding to those who have argued that she is too young to be a mother. The 19-year-old British influencer, who gained fame ten years ago on The Ellen DeGeneres Show thanks to a viral video of Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass,” opened out about the negative feedback she’s received after revealing she was expecting her first child in a new interview on Thursday.

“Having a baby at 19 seems to me to be a very young age, definitely. It’s perfectly OK for most people to think that you should wait to have children until you’re 30 years old, married, and living on your own. Of course, everyone will have different perspectives “Bownlee spoke with News.

She continued by saying she was attempting to ignore the critics. The performer told the magazine, “I just feel like it’s about the person themselves. It really isn’t anyone else’s problem as long as you feel prepared and it’s something you’re thrilled about.

Instead, Brownlee is thanking individuals who, despite her young age, have supported her decision to become a mother, like her cousin McClelland, who posted about the joy on Instagram.

She told news, “I’ve seen so many encouraging remarks about how ‘You’re young, but I had a baby at your age,’ and it was really nice. “When I hear other girls say that, it really makes me happy. It really, truly boosts my confidence a lot.”

“It’s a human, but I feel like it will just come naturally once I have the baby,” continued Brownlee, who shot to fame when she was just 9 years old. “My family and friends are so supportive. I’m sure that I will help so much. So I feel really confident about it now.”

On October 22, Brownlee posted a video on her YouTube channel in which she announced her pregnancy.

In the nearly eight-minute video, she said, “I am here to tell you all that I am pregnant.” I am currently 21 weeks along, and the reason I waited so long is that I always want to ensure that everything is secure and in perfect working order.

Brownlee stated in the video that she was “extremely astonished” to hear she was pregnant, however she hasn’t yet revealed who her long-term partner is.

“I’ve grown accustomed to it now, and I’m ecstatic about it. And I’m excited to share this experience with you guys. I’ll have a lot of content that is different from what I typically post, Brownlee told her fans.

In her late support for her “Super Bass” partner, McClelland.

Congratulations to my lovely cousin Sophia on her pregnancy announcement! To say I’m excited is an understatement, McClelland wrote on Instagram. I can’t wait to experience this brand-new chapter with you and be by your side as you become the best mother ever. I adore you so very much.
