Celine Dion canadian singer said in an emotional video that she will have to postpone and cancel a number of forthcoming concert dates due to her illness. The video was shared to her Instagram account in both English and French.

Dion, 54, said in the caption of the photo, “I’ve been struggling with problems with my health for a long time, and it’s been incredibly difficult for me to face these obstacles and to talk about everything that I’ve been going through.” I’m sorry to inform you that I won’t be prepared to resume my European tour in February.

She claimed in her video, “Recently, I’ve been diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, a very unusual neurological illness that affects roughly one in a million people. Even while we’re still studying about this uncommon ailment, we now know that it’s the reason for all of the spasms I’ve been experiencing.

The central nervous system, primarily the brain and spinal cord, is affected by the disorder, according to the Stiff Person Syndrome Foundation. They note that the neurological disease with autoimmune aspects can cause symptoms including “hyper-rigidity,” “debilitating pain,” “chronic anxiety,” and muscle spasms that are “so powerful they can dislocate joints and even break bones.” Patients may be unable to work or take care of themselves.

Dion said, “Unfortunately, these spasms interfere with every area of my daily existence. Sometimes it makes it difficult for me to walk and prevents me from using my vocal chords to sing the way I used to.

While expressing her appreciation for her fans, the “My Heart Will Go On” singer broke down even more. “I usually give 100 percent when I perform my shows, but my situation is not enabling me to offer you that right now. I miss seeing all of you. Being on the stage. Performing for you.”

She explained the challenging scenario, “I have no choice but to concentrate on my health at this time for me to reach you again.” I want to thank you so much for your encouraging wishes of love and support on my social media. This means a lot to me. And I have hope that I’m on the path to recovery. This is my focus and I’m doing everything I can to heal.

She cried as she said, “Take care of yourselves. Be well. I love you guys very much and I truly hope I may see you again real soon.” “I’m grateful,”
As we now know, Dion initially postponed her tour because to the pandemic and then again in January owing to health issues associated with this disease. She informed her followers in April that the 2022 tour will now take place in 2023 instead.

She declared through video post in April, “I’m doing my absolute best to get back to the level that I need to be so that I can give 100% during my shows because that’s what you deserve.

Her official website has further details regarding the new dates for her European tour.
