A dependable family! The Dancing with the Stars cast, including Lindsay Arnold, Daniella Karagach, and others, could not contain their joy at Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy’s newborn child.

In announcing the birth of her first child with Chmerkovskiy, 36, Johnson, 28, said on Instagram on January 11: “Our world is forever changed 1.10.2023.” A black and white photograph of herself and the Ukrainian man clutching their newborn child’s hand was attached to the post.

The costars of the professional dancers swarmed to the post to congratulate the happy couple after hearing the great news.

I adore you so much, my sweet boy! Sam Cusick and Arnold, who are currently expecting their second child, wrote.

Karagach gushed in the comments, “AHHH CONGRATULATIONS,” while Witney Carson only said, “AHHHHHH!!!!! In November 2022, both women disclosed that they were also expecting. (Karaguch confirmed that she and fellow DWTS star Pasha Pashkov are having their first child; Carson and her husband Carson McAllister are expecting their second kid.)

Maksim Chmerkovskiy, the brother of the two-time mirrorball champion, also made a message about his nephew’s arrival with a string of heart emojis.

In July 2022, Johnson initially revealed her and Val’s wonderful news.

“Our biggest dream come true yet 🤍,” she announced via Instagram at the time. “Baby Chmerkovskiy coming this January! My heart has grown beyond comprehension while growing this little miracle inside of me. We can’t wait to meet our precious angel 🥹.”

She added: “The moment my whole world changed. We had actually stopped trying to conceive for about 6 months to mentally/emotionally give ourselves a break … so the shock, disbelief, and sheer joy at this moment is a memory I will never forget.”

Prior to giving a child, the Utah native was open about her infertility issues.

“After two years of infertility, and hundreds of negative tests after negative tests, it was heart-wrenching at times to stay optimistic and made me question whether I would ever have this opportunity,” she said in an Instagram video shortly after news broke that she was expecting. “I will go into more depth about our fertility journey a little later on, but if any of you out there are struggling to get pregnant, suffering from infertility, or mourning a pregnancy loss… don’t lose HOPE.”

The So You Think You Can Dance alum opened out to Us Weekly in September 2022 about how she and Val had become closer over her pregnancy.

She exclaimed, “He’s been such an incredible support during my pregnancy because there are a lot of unusual and not normal things occurring to my body. “And he just makes me feel like a real beauty queen,” she continued.

Following Johnson’s entry into the competition series in 2014, the couple began dating. While their relationship was put on hold in 2016, they rekindled it and became engaged in June 2018. The couple exchanged vows in April 2019.
