Luke Hemsworth from “Westworld” will star in the action movie “Gunner”

The Hemsworth brothers appear to be maintaining their dominance of the action genre. According to Deadline, Luke Hemsworth, the eldest of the three brothers and star of Westworld, has just been chosen to play the lead in the upcoming action movie Gunner. Dimitri Logothetis is the author and director of the film.

Hemsworth will play Lee Gunner, a former Special Forces soldier going camping with his children, in the movie Gunner. The family trip turns into a nightmare, though, as the kids stumble onto a fentanyl lab in the woods and are abducted by drug dealers and as of right now, Hemsworth is the only cast member announced.

Luke Hemsworth has had a long career of his own, despite the fact that many fans only know him as the older brother of Chris Hemsworth and Liam Hemsworth. He starred in movies including the criminal drama Crypto and the horror thriller Death of Me, as well as the critically acclaimed sci-fi drama Westworld for HBO. In Thor: Ragnarok and Thor: Love and Thunder, Hemsworth also made amusing cameo appearances. He will soon be featured in the upcoming action film Land of Bad with Russell Crowe, Milo Ventimiglia, and his brother Liam.

In accordance with a script he co-wrote with Gary Scott Thompson, Logothetis will direct Gunner. Action movie directors like Logothetis are well-known for their work. Jiu Jitsu, a sci-fi action film starring Nicolas Cage and Tony Jaa, and Kickboxer: Retaliation is two of his most recent works. The two original Fast and the Furious films that launched a hugely popular franchise were written by Thompson. He has written screenplays for films like 88 Minutes and Hollowman.
