Google Play Store: now has Apex Legends Mobile accessible for download
After a long wait and a number of limited region-locked beta previews,...
According to reports, Electronic Arts (EA) has already suspended some accounts for using the name “Andrew Tate” in Apex Legends.
A Reddit user stated on September 2, 2022, that he was excluded from the Battle Royale because he named his persona after the influential British-American.
According to the notice from Electronic Arts, the name violates their guideline on positive play characters and adversely affects the game.
But it seems like other players with the same username have also been banned for a week.
Despite being blocked from all major social media sites, Andrew Tate, the newest star of Rumble, still seems to be popular online.
The former kickboxer, known as the “King of Toxic Masculinity,” has drawn criticism for his divisive opinions on a variety of delicate subjects.
Tate appears to have been taken down from Apex Legends as well since the game is tightening down on any mentions to the divisive internet personality.
It looks that violating their rules by utilizing his name in the game is the case.
According to the Reddit user, he was kicked out of the game for using the in-game alias “Andrew Tate.”
According to the notice from Electronic Arts, the name allegedly violates their guideline on positive play characters, and even if it was only meant as a joke, it still interferes with other players’ enjoyment of the game.
Notably, the crime falls under the policy infringement category of hateful conduct.
Players do appear to be receiving a week-long ban from Apex Legends for this reason, despite the fact that nothing has been formally announced yet.
