Billionaire Bill Gates has promised to donate $100 million to deal with the coronavirus outbreak.
International news reports about Bill Gates say that the donation has been arranged through the Gates Foundation and will be helpful for public health officials in finding a vaccine.
According to the report, the World Health Organisation and US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will get $20 million. In addition to this, health authorities in China and other countries affected by the virus will get more funds.
Furthermore, the donation will likely be used in the construction of hospitals and other infrastructures in Southern Asia and Africa, a brand-new international database of the outbreak and at-home test kits.
Apple reopens all of its stores in China
Telecommunication Company Apple has reopened all of its retail stores in China on 12th March (Yesterday).
Apple had shut down all of its offices and stores in China on first February as coronavirus spread in the country. The company had decided to reopen stores on 9th February but it was extended.
Stores in China had gradually begun re-opening throughout the month. Around 38 stores had been reopened earlier out of a total of 42.
Sources say that Apple has reopened all the stores yesterday.
According to details, the closure of Apple’s stores in China has caused loss as iPhone sales decreased in the country. Less than 500,000 iPhones were sold in China in February, 60% less than the sales recorded in February 2019.
