Pakistan’s quests Mohammad Bilal and Asjad Iqbal have won their first match in the first SAARC Snooker Championship 2019 in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Bilal beat Nizam Ahmed of Bangladesh by 4-0.
The scores of the match were (101-13(51), 75-11(62), 79-0, 67-51(56).
Asjad outclassed Nepal’s A M Shrestha by 4-0. The scores were 74-28, 74-22, 79-51, 82-08.
Bilal is confident to win the tournament after giving a winning start to the tournament.
“It gives me confidence after I beat the home player,” he said after the first victory.
It is pertinent to mention here that the first SAARC Snooker Championship started on September 1 while the final day is on 6th September.
Teams from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka are participating in the tournament titled ‘Sheikh Kamal Memorial 1st SAARC Snooker Championship-2019’ sponsored by Beximco Group, one of the leading business conglomerates in Bangladesh.
The champion of the tournament would receive a cash prize of USD 2,500 and the runner-up will get USD 1,500, while the two losing semifinalists will earn USD 500 each.
