Bulgarians urged to benefit from Pakistan’s investor-friendly policies

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has enormous economic opportunities and the Bulgarian investors can take full benefit of the country’s investor-friendly policies, a senior government official said on Monday.
Talking to Bulgarian Ambassador Irena Gancheva, who called on him at the Parliament House, Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani said: “Pakistan and Bulgaria have traditionally enjoyed friendly and cooperative relations. Our country adores and values its friendly relations with the Republic of Bulgaria.”
During the meeting, the matters of mutual interests, bilateral relations and regional situations were discussed in detail.
The two leaders also exchanged views on regional and international issues. Sanjrani said that the two countries not only share the commonality of views on regional and international issues, but Pakistan and Bulgaria were partners in counter-terrorism.
The Senate chairman also comprehended Bulgaria’s supportive role in Pakistan’s greater access to the European Union (EU) market.

“The two countries need to further cement ties at the parliamentary levels, he said, adding that the exchanges of high-level delegations between the two countries will further bolster friendly relations,” Sanjrani said.
He also called for boosting the untapped areas for enhancing the cooperation between the two friendly countries in the fields of agriculture, information technology (IT) and economics.
The Bulgarian investors should also invest in Gwadar, he said, adding that the trade cooperation needed to be enhanced.
“Parliamentary diplomacy is a substantial means of bringing nations closer together. Peace and stability are crucial for the development and prosperity of the region. Pakistan will continue to support and remain the partner of peace efforts in the region,” he said.
The Bulgarian ambassador stressed the importance of bilateral cooperation with Pakistan.
“Pakistan is an important country for Bulgaria,” she said, adding that Bulgaria wants to strengthen its relations with Pakistan,” Gancheva added.
