Minister reviews NPPMCL Debt Recapitalisation, Refinancing Scheme
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Privatisation Mohammadmian Soomro reviewed the Debt Recapitalisation and Refinancing Scheme for the National Power Parks Management Company Limited, a statement said.
The transaction committee meeting discussed the Debt Recapitalisation, Refinancing Scheme for NPPMCL from the local commercial banks.
The committee agreed on the scheme for local financing ahead of the equity process in the National Power Parks Management Company Limited transaction.
Federal Privatisation secretary, National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) chairman, Private Power Infrastructure Board (PPIB) managing director, representatives of the power, finance, petroleum and financial advisers also attended the meeting.
The federal minister said the government’s focus is to strictly follow the guidelines for timely completion of the transaction.
This is the first of its kind transaction, which involves refinancing of the government of Pakistan’s excess equity and loan, besides equity sale.
