With ICC T20 World Cup drawing near, the Pakistan team is gearing up to pose a tough challenge to the top teams, especially its arch-rival India.

While talking about the preparations of the national team for the upcoming tournament, batsman Imad Wasim said that he is positive that the national team will outperform the rest, as the T20 World Cup will take place in UAE, which is like the home ground for Pakistan.

While chatting with Cricket Pakistan, the 32-year-old all-rounder said: “UAE’s conditions will suit as it is like a home ground for us, having played there for a long period of time. This is why we are also considered as one of the favorites for the tournament. We have skillful players who can take us deep in the championship so we will try to give our 100 percent on the field.”

“We have two or three good series before that [T20 World Cup] and focused on winning that so that we head into the World Cup with rhythm and confidence,” he added.

The ICC T20 World Cup is scheduled to start on October 17. The event will take place in United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman.
