Two soldiers martyred in terrorists attack on military post in North Waziristan
At least two soldiers were martyred after terrorists attacked a military post in Datta Khel area of North Waziristan district, said the military’s media wing on Saturday.
“Terrorists targeted a military post in Datta Khel, North Waziristan. During intense exchange of fire, two soldiers, Naik Rehman, age 27 years, resident of Chitral and Lance Naik Arif, age 22 years, resident of Tank, embraced martyrdom,” said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The military’s media wing said the security forces were carrying out a search operation in the area to “eliminate any terrorists found”.
Earlier this month, a sepoy was martyred in Lakki Marwat when the security forces were “clearing an improvised explosive device planted by terrorists”.
The ISPR said that the IED was planted by terrorists at a “route frequented by civilians”.
