NCOC allows full capacity at National Stadium for Pak-WI series

National Command and Control Centre (NCOC) has reportedly allowed 100pc crowd capacity during the matches between Pakistan and West Indies at the National Stadium, Karachi.

Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, this will be the first time that full house will be permitted to spectate the matches. Earlier NCOC had only permitted 25pc of the total capacity of the stadiums in compliance with the strict Covid-19 SOPs.

Meanwhile, the decision of allowing spectators during the upcoming seventh instalment of the HBL PSL 2022 will be taken in the third week of December.

The tickets for the Pakistan-West indies series are likely to go live from Friday. The most expensive ticket is expected to cost Rs1,000. Other tickets costing Rs500 and Rs250 will also be available.

Children up to the age of 12, who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19, will also be allowed to spectate with their family. The NCOC has directed PCB to follow strict SOPs during the series.

The first of the three T20Is will be played at National Stadium on December 13, followed by the second and third T20Is on December 14 and 16 respectively.

Both teams will come face to face in the first ODI of the three-match series on December 18, while second and third ODIs will be played on December 20and 22 respectively. The ODI series will be a part of the ICC World Cup Super League.

The West Indies team is scheduled to arrive in Karachi on December 9.
