Samsung’s budget-friendly 5G smartphones, the Galaxy A34 and A54, are undergoing a significant security enhancement with the rollout of the April 2024 software patch. This update, now available worldwide, aims to strengthen the devices against potential security risks.
The update is being deployed across various regions in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. In the Philippines, Galaxy A34 users are receiving firmware version A346EXXS6BXD6, while Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq, Morocco, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, the UAE, and Tunisia are receiving versions A346EXXS6BXD7 and A346EXXS6BXD9.
For Galaxy A54 users, firmware version A546EXXS7BXD1 is being distributed in Argentina, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, India, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Thailand, the Philippines, Uruguay, and Vietnam. However, some Asian regions, including Pakistan, are yet to receive this update.
While these updates primarily focus on bolstering security, they do not introduce new features or performance enhancements. Nonetheless, Samsung emphasizes the importance of promptly installing these updates to ensure device security.
To install the update, Galaxy A34 and A54 owners can navigate to Settings, select Software Update, and tap Download and Install. Pakistani users will receive a notification once the update becomes available to them.
While users await the OneUI 6.1 update, Samsung continues to prioritize security updates and timely software improvements for its Galaxy A34 and A54 smartphones.
