LAHORE: Lahore city of Punjab has once again on top of the most polluted cities globally as pollution in the air of the city has exceeded the limits.
According to the air quality index report, the average air quality index of Lahore city has been recorded at 250. In the Gulberg area of Lahore, the air quality index rate has been recorded as 322, while in Johor town, 416 and the highest rate has been recorded on Canal Road as 458.
According to the classification, pollution from 151 to 200 levels is harmful to health, while pollution from 201 to 300 levels is counted as extremely harmful to health.
Keep in mind that levels above 301 indicate hazardous pollution and health experts have advised respiratory and asthma patients to be cautious.
On the other hand, Smog is an air pollutant that is formed by the emission of harmful gases in the air and the combination of dust particles in the air.
It is a type of air pollution also known as photochemical smog and is produced when other toxic particles such as nitrogen oxides react with sunlight.
Smog has very dangerous effects on human health, with symptoms such as cold, cough, sore throat, breathing problems, and eye irritation, affecting people of all ages.
