ISLAMABAD: On the matter of the withdrawal of resignations by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNAs, the party has penned down a letter to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
The details revealed that the letter has been sent to the ECP by PTI leader Aamir Dogar maintaining that 45 PTI MNAs have withdrawn their resignations.
He also said in the letter that the speaker NA has been informed through email and WhatsApp in this regard adding that if the speaker accepts the notification then it would be illegal, unconstitutional and malicious.
He also requested the ECP to stop any such action to ensure the delivery of justice and not to de-notify the members.
Pertinently, the PTI NA members decided to withdraw their resignations as a political strategy to choose the Leader of the Opposition and to move a vote of confidence for the prime minister.
PTI approached to the election commission when they were restricted from entering the Parliament. The members then held a protest outside the ECP.
