PMD forecasts rain in different cities of Sindh
KARACHI: Pakistan Meteorological Department(PMD) has predicted rain in different cities of Sindh...
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted rainfall and hailstorms for Lahore and parts of Punjab from Sunday evening to Tuesday.
This is due to a westerly wave affecting southwestern Balochistan, which is expected to spread across most of northern Pakistan.
During this period, the weather in most areas of the province will be partly cloudy and cold, while specific districts like Mianwali, Khushab, Sargodha, and others may experience light rain, wind, or thunderstorms.
On Monday and Tuesday, similar weather conditions are expected in several districts including Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, and others, with the possibility of road closures in Murree and Galyat due to heavy snowfall.
There’s also a risk of wind, thunderstorm, or hailstorm causing damage to structures like electric poles and solar panels.
Temperatures in Lahore are expected to range between 12-15 degrees Celsius during this period. Previously, cold and dry weather was observed in Lahore and most of Punjab, with Murree being the coldest spot at 01 degree Celsius.
