Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto concludes Pakistan visit

During his stay, President Prabowo Subianto held meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

ISLAMABAD: Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has concluded his official visit to Pakistan and returned to his home country.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production, Haroon Akhtar, saw off the distinguished guest at the airport.

During his stay, President Prabowo Subianto held meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.

Throughout the visit, both countries agreed to enhance collaboration in the fields of trade, defence, and technology. Several agreements and MoUs were also signed to strengthen cooperation between Pakistan and Indonesia.

President Asif Ali Zardari conferred Nishan-e-Pakistan, the highest civil award of Pakistan, on President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto Djojohadikusumo in a special investiture ceremony held here at Aiwan-e-Sadr.

Earlier, a meeting was held between the two leaders which focused on historic ties between the two countries, shared values and the long-standing foundations laid by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and President Sukarno.

Both presidents acknowledged the deep-rooted relationship between Pakistan and Indonesia, noting that it is built on shared values and long-standing friendship. They expressed a desire to enhance cooperation for peace, stability, and prosperity.
