More intermittent rains and windstorms are predicted in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Thursday night and the next two days.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), weak moist currents from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal are reaching the upper and central parts of Pakistan. Because of this, more scattered rains and windstorms are expected in the twin cities and at some places in southeastern and lower Sindh, northeastern and southern Balochistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeastern and south Punjab, the Potohar region, and Kashmir on Thursday night and over the next two days.
Islamabad’s maximum temperature is expected to stay between 34°C and 36°C on Friday and Saturday, and between 33°C and 35°C on Sunday. Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature is expected to stay between 33°C and 35°C on Friday and Saturday, and between 32°C and 34°C on Sunday.
In the last 24 hours, rains with a few heavy showers occurred in Islamabad and at some places in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and northeast Balochistan. Hot and humid weather continued in other parts of the country.

Dalbandin and Nokkundi remained the hottest places in Pakistan, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 48°C. The maximum temperature in Bunji, Sibbi and Chilas was recorded at 45°C.
In Islamabad, the maximum temperature was recorded at 35°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 65 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 34°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 60 per cent.
