Participants of the 8th Maritime Security Workshop (MARSEW) visited Naval Headquarters, where Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf met the delegation and shared key insights on evolving maritime dynamics.
During the visit, participants were briefed on emerging maritime challenges and opportunities within the naval domain.
According to ISPR, the 11-day workshop aims to highlight the significance of maritime security and the geo-strategic importance of the Indian Ocean region.
The Naval Chief outlined the growing maritime threats faced by Pakistan and emphasized the vast potential of the country’s blue economy. He also underscored the Pakistan Navy’s strong and credible deterrence during the Battle of Haq.
Admiral Naveed Ashraf further highlighted the Navy’s vital role in regional peace and stability through the Combined Maritime Forces and Regional Maritime Security Protocol.
He also appreciated Pakistan Navy’s efforts in coastal community development. Members of Parliament, officers, media personnel, and experts praised the role of MARSEW and termed it highly commendable.
