Three women were found dead inside a house in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 1 on Sunday, according to police and rescue officials.
One man was also found in an unconscious condition, said the rescue officials.
Police said initial observations point to suffocation from a possible gas leak, but an investigation is ongoing. The SSP East confirmed the women were a mother, her daughter, and daughter-in-law. Post-mortem examinations will determine the exact cause of death.
Sindh Home Minister Zia Lanjar has taken notice and instructed the SSP East District to carry out a transparent investigation.
