As she deals with her mobility challenges, the Queen has relocated her “best friend” Angela Kelly into Windsor Castle apartments.

Angela, 69, Her Majesty’s dresser and closest assistant for the past 28 years, is residing in a suite adjacent to her private rooms.

Angela originally stepped in as part of the HMS Bubble team during the Covid lockdown, assisting Her Majesty with day-to-day care.

As per the source told the media, “She lives there now. She has moved in.”

Angela’s rooms are rumoured to feature a 42-inch television.

Earlier, following speculations that the monarch will attend her Platinum Jubilee ceremonies, the British government has announced new plans to commemorate Queen Elizabeth’s 70-year reign.

The 96-year-old monarch made a rare public appearance at the Royal Windsor Horse Show this week, delighting supporters. Her presence has boosted courtiers’ hopes that she would be able to attend at least some of the major events over her jubilee weekend, such as Trooping the Colour, the Derby at Epsom Downs, and a national thanksgiving ceremony at St Paul’s Cathedral.

Ministers confirmed yesterday that over 70,000 Big Jubilee Lunches will be held across the four UK nations over the weekend, with an estimated 10 million people anticipated to gather with their neighbours to commemorate Her Majesty’s record-breaking reign.
