#36AllOut: Shoaib Akhtar reacts to the horror batting display by India
As Australia crashed Indian cricket team with 36 all out in the...
Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhtar slammed International Cricket Council (ICC) for their Teams of the Decade announcement of all the three formats. Shoaib said that these teams are not international teams rather Indian Premier League (IPL) Teams of the Decade.
ICC has been criticized by the cricketing community for selecting undeserving players in the teams, while top performing players throughout the decade failed to make the cut.
Shoaib has questioned the credibility of the teams and said that the top players around the world have been ignored by the ICC and players who have performed in the IPL have been selected. He said that these teams should have been selected on the basis of performances in international cricket.
He further added to his statement that,
“ICC only thinks about money, sponsorships and TV rights. Great players like Dennis Lillee, Jeff Thomson, Wasim Akram, and Waqar Younis went away because ICC commercialized cricket so much and allowed ten leagues to earn more revenue.”
As expected. https://t.co/1M0YUq537d
