Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has requested New Zealand to postpone matches between the two teams.
According to sources, the PCB has requested to postpone the matches after eight members of the national squad tested positive for Coronavirus
Media reports said that players are under pressure due to Coronavirus and have not started training yet.
Players are not ready physically and mentally. it is not possible to play a match in such a situation. The announcement of new dates will depend on player availability and logistics matters.
Earlier today health department of New Zealand said there was one new confirmed case among the squad and a further two members were being investigated.
The health department said that two of the original cases last week
Two of the original six cases last week were eventually found to be historical, meaning they were not infectious, while the other four were active.
Moreover, a seventh member of the squad tested positive on Saturday.
The Health Department in its statement said that “The team is not allowed to train until the Canterbury DHB medical officer of health determines they are satisfied that any training activities are unlikely to transmit Covid-19.”
