South Africa to undergo 9 COVID-19 Tests in Pakistan

South Africa cricket team will undergo nine COVID-19 tests in Pakistan during their one-month stay.

According to the media reports, extensive testing is being done to ensure players’ safety and security.

The visiting team will first be tested three times upon their arrival in Karachi and during six-day quarantine period.

More tests will then be conducted before and after each Test and during the three-match T20I series.

The newly-appointed chief selector Wasim Khan will be announcing the Test squad for the two-match series against South Africa in Karachi on January 15.

The 20-member squad will be announced which is going to enter the bio-bubble while the other 16-member squad will be named near to the Test match.

“We are in consultation with all the domestic coaches and team management regarding the Test squad against South Africa,” Wasim said.
