Steyn questions senior Players why IPL bound SA players not prioritising T20Is vs Pak

South African fast bowler Dale Steyn has questioned the absence of the senior players in the squad for the T20 international series against Pakistan.

On his Twitter account, Dale Steyn said in his statement that,

“I missed the reason why our big dogs aren’t playing the T20s against Pak?”

There are many experienced players of the South African side who were not in the squad including David Miller, Quinton de Kock, Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi, and Anrich Nortje due to their commitments in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

South Africa will play three ODIs and four T20Is against Pakistan from April 2 to April 16 in Centurion and Johannesburg.

T20I squad: Temba Bavuma (c), Bjorn Fortuin, Beuran Hendricks, Reeza Hendricks, Heinrich Klaasen, George Linde, Rassie van der Dussen, Janneman Malan, Sisanda Magala, Dwaine Pretorius, Tabraiz Shamsi, Lutho Sipamla, Kyle Verreynne (wk), Pite van Biljon, Migael Pretorius, Lizaad Williams, Wihan Lubbe.
