Fans of the Argentine squad, which won this month’s World Cup in Qatar, are lined up in Buenos Aires to get tattoos of their champion captain Lionel Messi and the trophy.

Tattoo artist Esteban Vucinovich said, “I have (appointments) completely dedicated to the World Cup for the next two weeks.”

“Many people who had already scheduled appointments for tattoos of snakes or skulls are switching to Messi or the Cup. Every day, I have two or three appointments “explained he.

According to Vucinovich, the trophy is the subject of the most requests for skin art, followed by Messi and Emiliano Martinez, the Albiceleste’s game-winning goalie against France in the final.

The body art of Argentine athletes like Angel Di Maria, who most recently wore a World Cup tattoo on his right thigh, inspires a lot of followers.

As a token of appreciation, public servant Nicolas Rechanik said, “I got a tattoo of Messi.”

The team that brought us a third World Cup and all the years of work to achieve this goal are also represented, along with what Messi represents.

In Buenos Aires, a mural by the artist Maxi Bagnasco shows Lionel Messi, the captain and forward for Argentina, raising the FIFA World Cup Trophy among his teammates after their team won the Qatar 2022 World Cup competition.

Rechanik previously wore the resemblance of another Argentine football legend, Diego Maradona, before obtaining the picture of Messi wearing the team’s blue-and-white striped shirt and kissing the championship trophy permanently attached to his left thigh.

It is the ideal illustration of both Argentine football and what it means to be an Argentine, he remarked.

Alma Ocampo, a 20-year-old football enthusiast, made the decision to get inked after Argentina’s shocking World Cup opening loss to Saudi Arabia.

“When everyone started to lose hope, I made the decision to have a tattoo of the Cup if Argentina wins. She continued, “And so I did, with the end date being December 18, 2022, and it stung quite a little.”

Ariel Sacchi, a physical education instructor, got tattoos for each of Messi’s five appearances in the World Cups. An image of the Argentine captain kissing the Cup is in the centre.

Leo Messi offered the most happiness to all Argentines, thus I chose to acquire him, said Sacchi.

However, not all tattoos are created equal, and many fans have been made fun of on social media for bad ink, including a fat-faced Messi and misspelt names, which are currently popular topics.
