Didier Drogba, a former striker for Chelsea and Ivory Coast, has stated that France forward Kylian Mbappe is the most complete striker at the FIFA World Cup 2022.

Mbappe currently has three goals scored for France in the 2018 World Cup. He scored twice against Denmark and once against Australia in the three group stage games that Les Bleus have played so far.

Drogba was discussing the characteristics of a complete striker and came to the conclusion that the France forward possesses all of those characteristics.

“For my purposes, a complete striker is a player who is capable of not only scoring goals but also assisting on other goals, and who can alter the course of the game with a single play. On the other hand, I don’t believe there are very many of them competing in this World Cup.

According to what he said to BBC Sports, “England have Harry Kane, who I love to watch, but France’s Kylian Mbappe is the player who stands out as the being the best at doing all of those things I have mentioned, all together.” Kylian Mbappe is the player who stands out as the best at doing all of those things I have mentioned, all together.

The player who had previously played in the forward position heaped praise on the current PSG forward for his play in the first two games of the group stage of the World Cup.

“If you put Mbappe in the centre forward position, he will score goals but will still come back and try to make chances for other people. He did this a lot in France’s first two games in Qatar, and you can see it in the video.

“He can expose defenders one-on-one with his pace, but I think the fact that he has played in different forward positions for his club, Paris Saint-Germain, has helped to make his game more rounded – to become more complete, if you will,” he added. “He can expose defenders one-on-one with his speed.”

At the young age of 23, he has already tallied 31 goals for the national squad. He trails Karim Benzema by one goal, David Trezeguet by three goals, and is tied with the legendary Zinedine Zidane in terms of goals scored.

France came out on top of their group in Qatar, where they competed, despite recording a record of two wins and one loss. The match between France and Poland in the round of 16 has been decided.
