Pakistan Cricket Board is badly confused in the search for a men’s team coach after Mickey Arthur indicated his unavailability for international coaching of the team for one year.
Mickey Arthur was offered tournament-to-tournament work by the PCB, after which the board announced to the withdrawal of its decision.
According to the PCB spokesperson, after Mickey Arthur refused to take full-time charge as head coach, PCB offered Mickey to perform the responsibilities as a consultant, but after some time, the offer of a consultant contract was withdrawn by PCB.
According to the PCB statement, PCB and Mickey Arthur could not agree on the offer, Mickey Arthur is completely unavailable, and a new candidate will be sought.
According to reports Mickey is currently unable to sign an annual contract with the Pakistan Cricket Board, due to his contract with Derbyshire.
Mickey Arthur served as Head Coach of the Pakistan Cricket Team from 2016 to 2019.
