Marcus Rashford of Manchester United, Mason Mount of Chelsea, and Nick Pope of Newcastle have all pulled out of England’s squad for this month’s Euro 2024 qualifiers.

During his team’s FA Cup quarterfinal victory over Fulham on Sunday, Rashford suffered a knock.

Pope, who has 10 caps, was hurt on Friday when Newcastle defeated Nottingham Forest 2-1.

Mount, who is also recovering from an injury, will continue to be a Chelsea player.

He had been a part of England manager Gareth Southgate’s first 25-man roster, however Chelsea manager Graham Potter later announced that the 24-year-old would not be travelling with the international team.

Because to a pubic bone injury, Mount hasn’t played for Chelsea since February and was out from Saturday’s Premier League tie against Everton.

In total, Rashford has scored 27 goals for Manchester United this season, including 19 goals since his return from the Qatar World Cup, when he scored three goals in five games for England.

Pope has been replaced by 35-year-old Fraser Forster of Tottenham.

Forster received his final of six England caps in 2016, despite being a member of the team for two exhibition matches the previous year.

“No additional substitutions are scheduled, and 23 players arrived at St. George’s Park on Monday,” said an England statement.

Before playing Ukraine at Wembley on March 26, Southgate’s team travels to Italy on March 23.
