Reputable search engine Google indicates that Babar Azam, the former captain of Pakistan and great batter, was not one of the top 10 trending searches for “people” in Pakistan for 2023.
The top 10 most popular searches for individuals in Pakistan this year featured a wide variety of personalities. Azam was in the headlines for most of the year, but he did not make the elusive list.
It should be mentioned that Azam was not the most popular person in Pakistan that people Googled in 2022.
This year, two of the most searched-for names were vloggers Hareem Shah and Aliza Sehar. Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff, who was heavily searched this year amid concerns about his well-being, came in third.
The list also included Haseebullah Khan, a rising star, and young Pakistani cricketers Abdullah Shafique and Saud Shakeel.
Usman Khan gained notice for his knocks in the Pakistan Super League, while Glenn Maxwell of Australia and Shubman Gill of India were among the other players in the top 10.
Anwar ul Haq Kakar, Pakistan’s acting prime minister, was also highly visible, demonstrating the country’s interest in politics.
In terms of cricket matches, the most frequently searched matches of 2023 in Pakistan demonstrated an intense love for the game.
The matchups that ranked most in searches were Pakistan against Australia, Pakistan vs Afghanistan, and Pakistan vs New Zealand. All three teams faced intriguing opponents. The fourth-place match of the Cricket World Cup was between India and New Zealand.
Other matches that people looked up were England against Pakistan, Pakistan vs Sri Lanka, Australia vs England, India vs Pakistan, and Pakistan vs Netherlands.
Since the Pakistan Super League, Cricket World Cup, Asia Cup 2023, Ashes, and Indian Premier League were among the top five events, cricket also dominated searches in Pakistan pertaining to events.
